25.03.2025
NWPC (a member of Acron Group) has launched a programme of guided tours of the production site for its employees. The first to visit the production units were specialists from the HR department. During the tour, the technical staff gave an introductory training and showed the main production facilities. The underground mine was the first station of the tour. The visitors went down to the −120 metre level, and deputy chief engineer Mikhail Ivanov explained how the crushing and conveying unit works, and the mine’s personnel demonstrated the pumping complex in operation at the depth of 100 metres, the repair chamber for self-propelled equipment, and the loading and unloading of underground dump trucks. The next stop was the open pit. Its manager, Evgeny Ilyushchenko, reported that an additional reserve of 18 million tonnes of ore was confirmed in 2024, extending the expected mine life to 2030. The visitors saw the open pit machinery and learned about the principles of its operation. The tour also included the building materials area and the repair building for underground self-propelled machines. Aleksey Korneev, deputy head of the building materials area spoke about the process innovations introduced in 2024, including commissioning of Elkomix 60 concrete batching plant, and described how the screw conveyor unloaders transport cement. Dmitry Muraviev, a senior mechanic of the shop that repairs self-propelled underground machinery spoke about the repair phases and operating principles. ‘This format of meeting with process personnel helps us understand the working environment at the mine and learn about the main processes first hand. We plan to organise introductory tours for employees from other NWPC subdivisions as well’, said Irina Molchanova, deputy CEO for HR.
