North-Western Phosphorous Company Hosts Professional Skills Competition
This September, the processing plant at the Oleniy Ruchey mine held a professional skills competition for chemical analysis laboratory technicians at the technical control department. Their work is crucial to the production process, as it involves product quality control at every stage.
The competition had two stages, testing both theoretical and practical knowledge. The theoretical stage included five test tasks and one problem. The practical part was more challenging and required competitors to make a calibration graph using a spectrophotometer and to determine the concentration of an unknown solution.
In addition to their professional skills, the jury looked at how neatly the specialists performed the tasks and whether they complied with all analytical work and labour safety regulations.
All three winners were chemical analysis technicians at the control and production laboratory, technical control department:
First prize: Ekaterina Anisimova
Second prize: Lyudmila Bazhina
Third prize: Tatiana Marysheva
Other competitors also received awards.
Elena Panina, a chemical analysis technician at the control and production laboratory at the technical control department, received the Creative Approach award.
Timofey Basharin, a chemical analysis technician at the control and production laboratory at the technical control department, was the best in the Analytical Work Safety category.
Elena Panina and Timofey Basharin also received commemorative diplomas, as did Yana Guryanova, a chemical analysis technician at the control and production laboratory at the technical control department.
