North-Western Phosphorous Company (NWPC, a member of Acron Group) has signed a partnership agreement with Golovanov Polytechnic College in Apatity to create and develop a vocational cluster for mining jobs as part of the Proffesionalitet federal programme.
Under the agreement, NWPC will work closely with educational institutions and the Murmansk regional Ministry of Science and Education. As a result, technical schools will adjust their curricula to meet industry requirements, students will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and internship opportunities, and NWPC will be able to recruit highly motivated young specialists. The Khibiny cluster, to be set up at Golovanov Polytechnic College, will receive RUB 100 million from federal authorities, RUB 15 million from Murmansk region and RUB 35 million from each industrial partner, including NWPC. The cluster will offer ten programmes ranging from repairs and maintenance to electromechanics. Students will have new laboratories, designated activity areas and specialised equipment. At least 85% of students will be offered a job immediately upon graduation.
Irina Molchanova, NWPC Deputy CEO for Personnel, said, ‘This agreement is a strategic milestone for our company. Today, merely supporting professional training is not enough. We need to shape the competencies of future specialists to meet our needs. The Professionalitet programme will allow students to learn about the specifics of our operations from their first day at school, facilitating their integration into the workplace upon graduation. This will reduce employee adaptation costs and enhance the prestige of blue-collar jobs. From 2029 onwards, we will hire at least 90 graduates every year’.
Acron Group companies have already established chemical vocational clusters in Novgorod and Smolensk regions, as well as in Perm Krai.
