North-Western Phosphorous Company develops social infrastructure in Kirovsk

North-Western Phosphorous Company (NWPC), a member of Acron Group, has allocated RUB 8 million to the construction of a modern multi-purpose sports court in Kirovsk, Murmansk region.

The new sports facility, which combines a futsal pitch and a basketball area, is a welcome addition for local residents and young sports enthusiasts alike. The court features rubber flooring for greater safety and comfort during play and is equipped with spacious spectator stands.

Evgeny Sozinov, NWPC’s CEO, and Alexander Nikolaev, Deputy Head of Kirovsk Municipal District, attended the inauguration ceremony. Mr Sozinov said, ‘Sporting achievements often start on local courts. It is wonderful to see our children striving for excellence. I believe that Kirovsk can become a home for many more future champions. The first steps towards great victories will be taken right here, on these courts’.

As part of the agreements on the socioeconomic development of Apatity and Kirovsk in Murmansk region, NWPC has invested approximately RUB 2.5 billion in local infrastructure over the past 20 years, including repairs to roads, construction and renovation of sports and social facilities, and improvements to the urban environment. In November 2025, NWPC also signed a socioeconomic partnership and cooperation agreement with the Murmansk regional administration for 2026–2028. Under this agreement, the company will invest over RUB 500 million in the social infrastructure of Murmansk region. More than RUB 100 million will be allocated to improvements at the Teriberka Nature Park.
