Acron Group’s Project Awarded at Fifth MineMovie International Festival

Series of video clips featuring employees at the Oleniy Ruchey mine (NWPC, a member of Acron Group) talking about their hobbies received an award at MineMovie 2023, the international festival of short documentaries about the mining industry. The project won second prize in the Best Film about Social Projects category.

The idea behind the project was to tell the story of the Company’s talented, athletic, creative, and enthusiastic employees who have found their purpose both in work and in hobbies that give meaning and lend colour to their lives. The videos were shot at the Oleniy Ruchey mine, in the towns where the Company’s employees reside, and in the wilderness of the Khibiny Mountains, Murmansk region.

Acron Group’s employees take up artistic forging, astrophotography, fitness yoga, paragliding, motocross, and travelling and even engage in searches for missing people. The videos are available on NWPC’s YouTube channel.

MineMovie 2023 saw a record number of videos, with over 40 mining sector companies submitting 137 films. The awards ceremony took place at the MINEX Russia forum.
