Murmansk, the capital of the Arctic, hosted the ‘Eco-municipality’ regional day as part of the forum billed as ‘Each Russia’s Region Makes It Stronger’. The event, which addressed acute environmental issues, brought together representatives of all the leading industrial companies in Murmansk region, including North-Western Phosphorous Company (a member of Acron Group). The company’s delegation took part in the fair and spoke at the strategic session.

In his speech, Alexander Rybakov, Head of the Department of Industrial Safety, Labour and Environmental Protection, focused on the efforts to minimise a negative impact on the environment:

‘NWPC cleans emissions, recycles water and reuses subsoil waste. All these measures, which were planned during the construction phase, have been successfully implemented’

Industry representatives discussed the technologies that reduce negative impacts and the environmental management principles that help minimise harm to nature.

‘NWPC recognises that the protection of the environment and nature is the most important task in achieving sustainable development and ensuring the health of future generations. The company always gives priority to compliance with Russian environmental legislation’.
