Repaired Simba M6C Drilling Rig Arrives at NWPC Site

The Simba M6C underground drilling rig arrived at the site of NWPC (a member of Acron Group) after an overhaul.

Almazgeobur repaired the machine using reverse engineering technology to fully restore its operability and upgraded the rig’s drilling module to increase the capacity and efficiency of future drilling operations.

Dmitry Muravyov, NWPC’s chief mechanical engineer, said: ‘Our partner Almazgeobur proved that it can successfully apply reverse engineering. Now, we can purchase compatible spare parts for our equipment from a Russian manufacturer, which, in the current circumstances, is essential for maintaining a stable production process’.

After the pilot tests, NWPC will use the Simba M6C again in its underground mine. The two companies have also agreed that Almazgeobur will design an additional drilling module for the rig.
