08/02/2017 | NWPC Approves New Collective Agreement

On 26 July 2017, the Oleniy Ruchey mine hosted a conference of NWPC employees to approve a new Collective Agreement. The conference was attended by representatives of all departments, the Murmansk Regional Council of Trade Unions and the chair of the primary trade union organisation.

Nadezhda Heifetz, NWPC Deputy CEO for Human Resources and General Issues, reported on the implementation of the previous Collective Agreement for 2014-2017. "NWPC met all of its social obligations to employees. The Company adjusted wages, provided financial aid for important personal occasions, professional training, subsidized meals for all employees, health resort vouchers, and membership at fitness and pool centres in Kirovsk and Apatity", said Ms Heifetz.

In addition to the previous benefits, the new Agreement has some improvements. For instance, all lump-sum payments to employees for marriage, birth of a child or death of a close relative have been increased by RUB 5,000. The Company will pay RUB 10,000 to families of deceased employees who served ten or more years.

The Collective Agreement also envisages a reward of RUB 6,000 for employees inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The NWPC social package will now include voluntary medical insurance for all employees.

The meeting unanimously approved the new version of the Collective Agreement through 2020.
